Town of Vienna, VA
Home MenuSustainability Challenge
Vienna businesses and organizations understand that sustainability is good for the environment, Vienna residents, and their bottom line. The Sustainability Challenge is a voluntary, free, self-certification program designed to help Vienna businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations achieve and model sustainability. To be certified, organizations evaluate their current practices and document their sustainability activities.
Each year, the Town recognizes businesses and organizations that reach the certification goal for sustainable strategies and practices undertaken during the past 12 months. Businesses and organizations can be recognized in five categories of sustainable practices: energy, water, waste, transportation, and purchasing.
