The department of planning and zoning maintains and enforces regulations that ensure that the Town of Vienna grows and develops in ways that fit with the Town’s vision, are beneficial to residents and businesses alike, and preserve the neighborly character for which Vienna is so well known.

The department assists residents and customers with obtaining building and zoning permits, Certificates of Occupancy, conditional use permits, rezonings, subdivisions, and variances.  The department provides staff support to the Board of Architectural Review, Board of Zoning Appeals, Planning Commission, and Windover Heights Board of Review.
