Town Cleanup Day
April 5 and Sept. 13, 2025
9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Vienna Town Green 

The Town schedules two cleanup days per year in April and September.   After meeting at the Vienna Town Green, volunteers are assigned a location in town that needs some attention.  The parks and recreation department coordinates the event, providing supplies and assistance throughout the day.  Pre-registration via email is recommended, not required.  

Help make Vienna parks more ecologically diverse by removing invasive plants, installing native plants, spreading wood chips and preparing for future plant installations.  The Parks and Recreation Department offers regular volunteer opportunities in public parks around town.  Some restoration events require advance sign up.  Gloves and hand tools are provided.  Habitat restoration events take place:

Southside Park – Monday’s from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m.  *Meet at Ware-Walker entrance. *Advance sign-up appreciated but not required. 

Wildwood Park -  There is an event most Sundays however the meeting times change seasonally. Please check the Town calendar for the meeting dates and times. *Meet at Follin Lane entrance. 

Northside Park – Saturday mornings in May (starting May 4), 9-11 a.m. Meet at the north end of the wooden bridge. 

Beulah Road Leaf Site (442 Beulah Rd. NE) – Wednesday mornings in May (starting May 8 and no workday May 29), 9-11 a.m. Parking is available on Sherwood Drive, NE. Meet at the main road into the site.

The Vienna Community and Learning Garden, located behind the Vienna Community Center, is 100% managed and grown by Vienna’s dedicated green-thumb volunteers, under the supervision of the garden coordinator. The garden features food, flowers, and herbs and provides learning and volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
