Holidays
The Town of Vienna observes the following holidays each year (the schedule is published at the beginning of each year). All uniformed personnel who are assigned to a patrol schedule are paid for holidays regardless of whether or not they are scheduled to work on that holiday.
In the event that an approved holiday falls on a Saturday, the previous Friday will be considered as the holiday. If the holiday falls on a Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday.

Annual leave
Annual leave is accrued by all full-time Town of Vienna employees at the following rates.

An employee may accumulate a maximum of 280 hours of annual leave. Any annual leave in excess of 280 hours that remains on the last day of the last pay period in December will be converted and added to the employee's sick leave account.
Sick leave
Sick leave is accrued at a rate of four hours per pay period, no matter how many years of employee service. There is no limit to the amount of sick leave that may be accumulated.
