Our American Liberty StoriesIs there a story that you or your family members tell over and over about your family history?  We want to hear your stories about your country, your journey to citizenship, your family’s history, or what it means to you to be American or live in America.  We are looking for stories from individuals and families who were native to this country or who journeyed here, whether willingly or not, and how they came to enjoy the rights as Americans guaranteed by the Liberty Amendments.  Submit stories for the 2025 project at any time and get more information at the link above.

View the collection of stories and photos online at the link above starting June 15.  You can also see the stories and photos displayed in local businesses, the Vienna Community Center, the Freeman Store and Museum, and at Liberty Amendments Month events.

Presented by Historic Vienna, Inc., The Town of Vienna, and the Vienna Business Association.

The mural is funded by the Friends of the Patrick Henry Library and the Vienna Public Art Foundation.

Voter Registration and Resources

The League of Women Voters of the Fairfax Area will be registering voters and providing information about "What's on your ballot 2024" at Juneteenth (pg. 4), and other LAM events.  Check this page for updates.  Emmaus United Church of Christ will also be at these events leading a non-partisan ‘Get Out the Vote effort to mail postcards to potential voters encouraging them to vote in the upcoming election and providing information on polling places.  The country has a very important election coming and this non-partisan information will get our community ready to vote!
