naturalization heroAs part of Liberty Amendments Month, we are asking for and sharing stories of becoming and being American. These stories are from individuals and families who were native to this country or who journeyed here, whether willingly or not, and how they came to enjoy the rights as Americans guaranteed by the Liberty Amendments.

These American Liberty Stories describe where people came from and how they got here, and/or how their American journey fits into the move from an imperfect republic to a more perfect union.

Do you have a story to share? Submit your story anytime here.
Stories received after May 15, 2025 will be a part of the 2026 project.

All stories submitted for the 2023-2024 projects can be viewed here

The 2025 American Liberty Stories project  will be displayed during Liberty Amendments Month at the Vienna Community Center, Freeman Store and Museum and local businesses. A complete list of participating businesses will be shared here closer to the start of Liberty Amendments Month (June 14, 2025).

If your business is interested in displaying some or all of the 2025 stories please send us an email or call 703-255-5738.
