Two International Society of Arboriculture (ISA)-certified arborists work with developers and residents to ensure the Town of Vienna maintains an attractive tree canopy.

Town arborists:

• care for all trees in town rights-of-way including street trees located along Maple Avenue
• diagnose and treat trees in distress on public property
• remove diseased, dead or unsafe trees from public areas
• work with residents and commercial builders to ensure construction plans conform to the Town’s tree requirements
• provide consultant services to town residents regarding trees on their property.

Among the tree-related topics our Town arborists can assist residents with are:

• best trees to plant in a given location
• caring for distressed trees
• caring for trees on newly developed lots
• tree health and signs of disease
• when a tree needs to be removed

Due to staffing shortages stemming from a retirement, the Town is temporarily unable to conduct tree assessments on private property.  Tree assessments on private property are expected to resume after appropriate staffing levels have been restored.
