Artists interested in exhibiting their work at the Vienna Community Center must complete and submit an Application for Exhibiting Art at the Community Center.

Policy for exhibiting art at the community center

Before applying to display artwork, please review the Vienna Community Center Exhibit Policy to ensure that the proposed exhibit meets all requirements.

All artists, organizations, or schools wishing to exhibit artwork at the community center must commit to displaying their artwork for the full four-month exhibit window assigned. Although the community center is monitored by staff and security cameras, insurance for the artwork is the responsibility of the artist, organization, or school submitting the work. All applicants must sign an agreement holding the Town harmless for liability due to damage, destruction, or theft.

Prohibited work

The Town prohibits display of artwork at the community center that includes, but is not limited to, the following subject matter:

• graphic depictions of sexuality or violence
• nudity or suggestive poses
• work that appears designed to ridicule deeply held beliefs or to disparage others for their race, gender or sexual identity, ethnicity, nationality, etc.
