Linda Jane Colbert is a homegrown resident of Vienna and lifelong community servant. Colbert, who began serving on Town Council in 2014, was elected mayor in 2020.

Colbert is a math tutor and SAT teacher. She previously taught math at James Madison High School, her own old stomping grounds and alma mater. She is a board member of the James Madison Athletic Hall of Fame, former Girl Scout leader, Vienna Rotarian, and member of the Vienna Business Association, Historic Vienna Inc., Tysons Community Coalition, Vienna Presbyterian Church, and Vienna Woods tennis team. She previously served on the Town’s Transportation Safety Commission.

Colbert received a bachelor's degree in math from the University of Virginia and a master's degree in education from Virginia Tech. She and her husband, Mike, live in southeast Vienna and have two adult daughters.
